How to get rid of toxic gases such as smoke when the CNC cutting machine is working

Enterprises who have used CNC cutting machines should know that the equipment is often accompanied by the overflow of harmful gases such as smoke during the cutting process. So how should we deal with the removal of such harmful gases when the CNC cutting machine is working?

CNC cutting machine is used to cut metal carbon steel and other materials. It is a kind of processing equipment. It is usually used in workshops. This is mainly for the maintenance of transmission components and control systems, and CNC cutting machines use electricity, gas and other fuels. It involves safety issues, so it is generally used in the factory workshop, so how should the CNC cutting machine remove dust in the workshop?

1. Comprehensive ventilation

Comprehensive ventilation is also called dilution ventilation. It uses clean air to dilute the concentration of harmful substances in the indoor air, so that the concentration of harmful substances in the indoor air does not exceed the maximum allowable concentration specified by the hygiene standards, and at the same time, the polluted air is continuously discharged to the outside or collected for purification. .

General ventilation includes natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation. In foreign countries, natural ventilation is generally used for outdoor CNC cutting operations or open space CNC cutting machines, and mechanical ventilation is usually used for indoor operations. Through the axial flow fan installed on the wall or ceiling, the welding fumes in the workshop are discharged to the outside, or after being purified by a purifier, it can be recycled in the workshop to achieve the purpose of reducing the dust concentration in the workshop. Circulating the purified air solves the energy loss in the workshop, which is widely used abroad.

2. Exhaust treatment

The exhaust treatment is generally only for the local operation of the cutting surface, specifically, the local air flow is controlled, so that the local work site is not polluted by harmful substances and maintains a good air environment. Generally, the local exhaust fan unit is composed of four parts: the gas collecting hood, the air duct, the purification system and the fan. Local exhaust can be divided into fixed local exhaust system and mobile local exhaust system according to the different ways of collecting air.

The fixed local exhaust system is mainly used in large-scale CNC cutting production workshops with fixed operation locations and worker operation methods, and can fix the position of the gas collecting hood at one time according to the actual situation. The working state of the mobile local exhaust system is relatively flexible, and different working postures can be adopted according to different working conditions to ensure the processing efficiency and the convenience of the operator. The purification system of CNC cutting fume and harmful gas usually adopts the purification method of bag type or the combination of electrostatic precipitator and adsorbent, which has high processing efficiency and stable working condition.

The above is the treatment method for the harmful gas emitted by the CNC cutting machine during operation. Although CNC cutting machines play a unique role in major cutting fields. However, when the CNC cutting machine is in use, due to the fusing of the surface of the material, a large amount of harmful gases such as smoke will be formed. Especially when the CNC  cutting machine is used to cut materials such as galvanized sheets, the amount of smoke and harmful gases will be larger. In order to reduce the impact of smoke and dust, few enterprises configure more dust removal devices to achieve the effect, but in terms of cost, whether it is dry dust removal or wet dust removal, the cost is very considerable.
